ETHIOPIA How can Rh Incompatibility be Treated and Prevented

In Ethiopia, stillbirths are referred to as Shotelia and in many cases can be attributed the mother’s blood being RH negative when the father is positive. An RH+ pregnancy may result, in which case the mother if exposed to the child blood develops antibodies which basically fight against the infant’s blood. In mild cases this only results in mild anemia (blood disease) in the infant, but when more serious this leads to stillborns - the infant is born dead.
New treatment in Ethiopian hospitals now apply blood transfusions and other majors both antenatal and postnatal and are highly effective, according to this hashtag program. Woman are advised to know her own and her partner’s blood type. Preventive medicines such as rh positive Anti D can then be applied.

Riek Machar Kicked Out of Ethiopia
CCTV News Africa Live program reports “Ethiopian ending Riek Machar’s stay in the country”.
Machar fled South Sudan close to 4 months ago and the decision to end his stay came after Ethiopian Prime Minister HaileMariam Desalegn’s recent promise to work more closely with the South Sudanese government. Patrick Oyet reports from Juba stating that Riek Machar was the leader of the opposition in South Sudan but now ‘couldn’t be more isolated’.
Otim David, Oppotion MP while being interviewed says that Riek Machar is an obstacle to peace as he is massively recruiting throughout the country , ‘going on appointing members of the political bureaus.’ He went on to say that Riek Machar is abusing the region and the international community. Patric Oyet reports that violence has gone up in South Sudan since Riek Machar’s absence.

Ethiopian Food - Hibist recipe Steamed Bread Amharic English - Injera Kitfo Berbere
Hibist steamed bread is a very widespread Ethiopian bread recipe. Hibist is commonly prepared for new mothers, Fasika and other Ethiopian holidays and even on regular days. After watching this video you can join the millions of Ethiopians who please their family and friends with a gift of tasty Hibist steam bread.
Very basic recipes are listed at beginning of Hibist steamed bread guide for easy access: flour 1kg, 2 teaspoons of yeast (shay mankyia), 1 teaspoon of salt, 4 teaspoons of sugar, 200ml of oil, 750 ml of water and 2 teaspoons of baking powder.
All of these ingredients are laid out on a table and written instructions guide you through every step. Presenter mixes ingredients to show you just how it is done. The next step requires some upper body strength as you will be kneading (mixing) dough for a whole 5 minutes.
After that use double plastic wrap and leave for 2 hours so it can rise. In the last stage, you fill an aluminum covered pan that is oiled with the Hibist mixture, as shown by the presenter. Remember to make extra space on top for it to rise. Make sure to cover fully.
Fill another pan halfway with warm water and place the Hibist pan on top. Apply low heat for 45 minutes. When finished remove and serve.
