The tripartite technical committee of Egypt, Ethiopia and Sudan will meet next October 5th to discuss the Ethiopian renaissance dam project, a month after the withdrawal from the consulting firm Deltares. In a press statement, Egyptian Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Alaa Youssef did not specify in which country the meeting will take place. Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn explained to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, at a meeting in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly's 70th session.

Mugabe Condemn Homosexuality at the UN Summit
Robert Mugabe used the United Nations podium on Monday evening to attack homosexuality in front of the General Assembly. Deviating from his prepared remarks, the 91-year-old leader of Zimbabwereportedly barked: “We are not gays!”
In 2006 the government made it illegal for two people of the same sex to kiss, hug - or hold hands. Mr Mugabe made the comment as he criticised Western nations’ “double standards” and attempts to “prescribe ‘new rights’ that are contrary to our values, norms, traditions and beliefs.” Zimbabwe has one of the worst LGBT rights records on the African continent, with the country’s leader frequently demonising homosexuality.
