More than 130 prisoners were yesterday repatriated to Ethiopia after completing their jail terms.
Among them are 44 inmates who were held at Isiolo prison while 92 were transferred from Kangeta prison to Isiolo police station on Thursday awaiting repatriation.
Prison boss Ibrahim Hassan said their exit will decongest the facility which has a capacity of only 150 inmates.
Mr Hassan who spoke after receiving a repatriation order from court said the foreigners were jailed for three months for staying in the country illegally. Harun Daniel, one of the released prisoner said he was excited about his release
