DireTube News - Court passes verdict on Indians who caused $26 mln damage on the Government
Two Indian nationals were sentenced to 22 year prison terms and fined 100,000 Birr for allegedly engaging in fraud when they approved the provision of a used transformer as a brand new equipment, causing a 26 million USD damage on the government.
The Federal Court also convicted Ashenafi Yohannes, for his role in the approval committee, where the defendant acted to wrongfully benefit, with a 7 year prison term and 20,000 Birr fine.
